Dave Driscoll

Training - Consultancy - Results

Dave DriscollDave was one of the founders of Phillips and Leslie and remains Senior Partner to this day. Prior to 1989, Dave was a teacher of science and held management positions in schools and a local authority.

Since 1989 he has become well known as a speaker at national and international conferences, where his witty and forthright style has made him a favourite among teachers and school leaders. His most effective skill is making complex concepts, such as school improvement data, simple to understand.

He now provides advice and training to schools across the West Midlands, as well as acting as consultant to national and international bodies. He is an expert advisor to The Key for School Leaders and The Key for School Governors.

Experience

Dave became a qualified school inspector in 1993 and a qualified Registered Inspector in 1997. He retired from actively inspecting in 2016, but remains one of the most experienced lead inspectors in the country, having led literally hundreds of inspections and taken part in many more. He inspected, and currently provides training and consultancy for, primary schools, secondary schools, sixth forms and the Early Years Foundation Stage. He previously trained new lead inspectors to carry out OFSTED inspections and quality assured the work of other inspectors, including HMI.

How Dave Can Help

He is widely accepted as a leading authority on the analysis and use of data in schools. He specialises in school improvement, and more specifically in moving schools up a grade; from inadequate to requires improvement, requires improvement to good and from good to outstanding.
